ICCX Russia 2017
St. Petersburg, Russia 9 Dec 2017 - For the 13th time in a row, the ICCX Russia took place in St. Petersburg. The event is an unique combination of conference and trade show covering all aspects of modern concrete production / technology. Again, a variety of interesting and up-to-date topics were offered.
The visitors expected a balanced mix of both scientific and practice-oriented speeches, for which national and international speakers could be won. Topics were amongst others:
- the most current and progressive production technologies for the manufacture of precast
- innovative reinforcement technologies
- facts on how to generate customized and highly decorative concrete façades
- current challenges in Russian standardization provisions.
Much attention was also paid to the lecture of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Viktor Mechtcherine (Director of the Institute of Building Materials and Chair-holder at the Technical University of Dresden) on technologies for 3D concrete print. Michael Khrapko (CBE Consultancy Ltd.) reported on the life cycle of concrete as well as current methods for achieving high concrete quality and its measurement.
Traditionally, on the last day of the ICCX Russia, the doors to several concrete elements producers opened to ICCX participants. This offer is very popular every year.
