Our products at a glance:

It's a long way from raw materials through the mixture to the finished stone. Many plant components are involved in this process. Only if the system components are matched, can one be assured of a smooth process and economical operation of the block making plant. Learn about our Concrete block production plants.

It's a long way from raw materials over mixture to the finished (Kerb)stone. Masa Kerbstone presses were developed to fulfill among other criteria, the special requirements of the "British Standard" kerbstones. This "British Standard" is still a condition in countries of the Middle East and the UK. Learn about our Kerbstone production plants.

The manufacturing of autoclaved aerated concrete products demands high standards for mixing and dosing of the aggregates, the control of the fermentation process and the control of each production step. Masa's aerated concrete installations are proven advanced technology processes, designed according to customers specific requirements. This approach allows complete solutions to ensure highly efficient, optimised processes resulting in consistent final product quality. Learn more about our plants for the production of AAC.

It's a long way from raw materials through the mixture to the finished sand lime bricks. Many plant components are involved in this process. Only if the system components are matched, can one be assured of a smooth process and economical operation of the sand lime brick production plant. Learn about our Sand lime brick production plants.

Our service:

Masa plants and machines are installed and commissioned by our own experienced fitters. Masa relies on qualified personnel, trained in Germany. Read more about the assembly and commissioning of your production line.

The Masa Lifetime service extends far beyond the actual assembly and commissioning of a plant. Masa can rely on specific know-how and an industry experience of more than 110 years. Find out more about the wide range of Masa Lifetime services.

Do you need support with your machine? Masa Support scores in both quality and significantly improved accessibility. Whether "first aid" for technical problems, updates, functional expansions of your production plant or technical questions, the know-how provided by Masa Support covers a wide range of services. Get information now.

One of the keys to increasing productivity and quality is continuous training of the machine and maintenance personnel.
The acquired know-how will pay off quickly: You and your employees only know how good a Masa machine or plant actually is, if all functions, tricks and fine adjustments are known. Learn more about Masa Customer training.

Modern Slab Design:
Wide variety for increased sales.

Slabs in vogue: Diversity promotes sales figures

The sophisticated technology of concrete slab making with Masa plants and refinement components enables our customers to try out new combinations of raw materials as well as colours and structures over and over again. They can "play" with various surface structures and refinement procedures. Thus, the number of variations is nearly unlimited.

Depending on the market requirements, it is possible to offer a great variety of products that give the manufacturer resp. the building materials suppliers the possibility to increase their market shares with unique products.

Beside the profitability of the production, the variable appearances of the finished products are another decisive aspect in favour of Masa plants and equipment for the manufacture of concrete slabs.

Every slab a quality item.

Masa can supply secondary processing equipment to provide a wide range of different paving slab textures and finishes.

  • Washing

The Masa direct washing plant is a perfect solution to refine the surface of the fresh products. Directly after the slab has been taken from the press, the surface can be washed with a washing device integrated into the slab take-off carrier.

Fine particles of the aggregates and cement residues are removed in a combined spraying and splashing process. This brings out the first-class visual characteristics of the face mix materials. The product receives its distinctive appearance thus.

The Masa direct washing plant is equipped with:

    • Individually adjustable nozzles
    • Adjustment possibilities for pressure and travelling speed
    • Two high-pressure spraying nozzle strips (with oscillating movement of the nozzles)
    • Splash water strip to wash away the cement remains (rinsing function)
    • Compressed air nozzle strip to blow off the remaining water
    • Quick change device for individual spraying nozzles or the nozzle strip

  • Calibrating

In the calibrating station, deviations in the product height occurred during production can be levelled. After this process, the slab surfaces are absolutely plane-parallel. This is important for an attractive visual appearance of the finished product.

  • Grinding

Masa grinding lines are designed to grind various raw materials (hard rock, soft rock) with different grain sizes. It is particularly important for us to minimize the tool and energy costs of the plant. Depending on the required grinding degree, the number of working stations is varied.

  • Chamfering

In this step, all four upper edges of the slab are slightly chamfered to avoid possible later flaking-off at the edges.

  • Shot-blasting

The shot-blasting procedure produces different high-grade surface structures. Special coloured face mix materials can be exposed thus. The process generates a slightly rough surface that is highly skid-proof.

  • Curling

In the curling process, the preprocessed or unprocessed concrete surface is smoothed with plastic brushes. This generates a silky (shiny) appearance.

  • Impregnating

Today, extremely high demands are made on the quality of concrete products. The end customer requests a consistently high-class appearance and wants an easy to clean surface at the same time. To fulfill these requirements, it is necessary to protect the concrete surfaces. There are various possibilities to achieve this.

In this context, impregnating ranks first. The impregnation can either be carried out in the mixing process (face mix concrete) or before the finished concrete products are packaged. In the latter case, the impregnating agent is applied by means of rollers or sprayed onto the surface. Then the slabs have to be dried, there are various possibilities for this.

As there is a great number of impregnating agents available, it is necessary to discuss and coordinate this with the chosen supplier.

  • Coating

Today, extremely high demands are made on the quality of concrete products. The end customer requests a consistently high-class appearance and wants an easy to clean surface at the same time. To fulfill these requirements, it is necessary to protect the concrete surfaces. There are various possibilities to achieve this.

Correct and lasting coating of concrete products requires much more expertise and effort than impregnating, as the concrete surfaces are sealed permanently. A lasting high-quality coating requires a very small residual moisture content before the coating process can start. Before the slabs are coated, they have to be warmed up. Depending on the type of coating, the slabs are then hardened by means of radiant heat or ultraviolet light.

This process can be carried out twice, if required.

As there is a great number of coating agents available, it is necessary to discuss and coordinate this with the chosen supplier.
